Have Fun at VIR While Doing Something Amazing For Others
August 1, 2014

Going to the track is usually a pretty selfish activity. You go for the racing, the fellowship, and the out-and-out escape from the rest of the world. We’ve all selfishly procrastinated on chores, significant others, family, and other responsibilities to go play Rossi for a day or two. Here’s your chance to do something patently unselfish while at the track:

This weekend, VIR is hold the first-ever Ride for the Children of Victory Junction Camp. The event, which benefits the good people at Victory Junction Camp, includes a door prize raffle for great moto-themed prizes AND two laps around the world-famous Virginia International Raceway. If you’ve never seen or ridden VIR, it’s one of the great locations in motorsport, with or without its iconic oak tree (RIP, 7/2/13). If you don’t have a bike handy, no worries; cars will be allowed on the course for the Ride’s parade laps.
The Ride starts at 10:45 AM on August 2nd. Be there early to ensure you get a spot in the event, which is limited to 150 bikes and/or cars. It costs only $15, 100% of which goes to the VJC. If you can't make it in time for the parade laps then no worries, because WERA is hosting the weekend, and you're sure to see some amazing motorcycle racing.
So, go ride VIR for a great cause, and keep it in your back pocket for the next time your significant other tells you how selfish you are.

STC MANIFEST:
This page was started by a few guys who love motorcycles and road racing. We write about the motorcycle industry, racing, riders and anything else that we find interesting.
We write from our point of view, an everything you read here is based on our opinions. We don't represent anyone other than ourselves, and we're not affiliated with any organization, series, sanctioning body or political group.
We love motorcycles, so we write about the sport for people who also love motorcycles. It's just that simple.
